Slide12017 Greater San Marcos Innovation Summit in February, with USPTO Inventors Workshop

          On February 21 and 22, Texas State University’s STAR Park will collaborate with The Greater San Marcos Partnership and the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office to provide a two-day workshop to highlight the Texas Regional USPTO Office’s outreach to inventors and IP stakeholders in Central Texas.

          On February 21, 2017 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. participant will enjoy the Annual Innovation Summit hosted by Texas State and the Greater San Marcos Partnership being held at the Embassy Suites in San Marcos

          From 1:30 to 5:00 p.m. at STAR Park, the USPTO will provide a panel of speakers addressing working with the Texas Regional USPTO Office, the USPTO’s Enhanced Patent Quality Initiative, and other topics of great interest to participants.

          On February 22, 2017, from 9:00 – 11:30 a.m., the USPTO Staff will hold one-on-one sessions with participants to address individual interests of the participants. These topics will range from ways to more effectively engage with both the Texas Regional Office in Dallas, ways to conduct interviews with USPTO examiners, ongoing IP stakeholder education, appealing decisions of USPTO examiners, and other topics of importance.
